8040DT. Four years in design. Multiple applications.
Five-function combo head. High-capacity augering.
Installs 2.0-inch monitoring wells. Superior direct push
capabilities. Large diameter casing advancement.
Small platform. Powerful GH80 Hammer. And it’s all
wrapped up in a one-year warranty package, including
the hammer, and it’s only from Geoprobe Systems®. The
8040DT is a machine you need to see in operation to fully
appreciate its power and capabilities.
Reward yourself with increased power, more versatility, and the push you need to stay ahead of the game. Once again, Geoprobe Systems® gives the environmental,
geotechnical and mining industries another costeffective option for success.
The Geoprobe® 8040DT machine brings an entirely new level of performance and options to subsurface investigation and construction. Integration of direct push and various rotational options makes the 8040DT a unique package and attractive for environmental, geotechnical, and mineral exploration venues. Install 2.0-inch (51 mm) monitoring wells (above) and collect larger diameter soil coring without the liability of disposing any cuttings. Use it at mine site locations and work in both wet and dry tailings, or perform heap leach sampling and other mineral prospecting applications. From the dependable CAT® turbo diesel engine to the durable, wide-base track undercarriage; from the versatile CB8 Combo Head to the rear stabilizer that can move up to 3,000 lb. (1,362 kg) of tooling and supplies to the jobsite, the 8040DT means new possibilities and more versatility for your company.
“The 8040DT proved its reliability over a two-and-a-half month project. Without this rig, we would likely have used a large sonic rig which would have driven up the project cost considerably.”

Making work easier in the field is a key feature of this machine. “It’s impressive and powerful,” said Elliot Wilson, Machine Operator for GeoTek Alaska in Anchorage. “The 8040DT can and will do just about anything you want it to. It’s never been this easy and fun.” The laborsaving rod grip pull system is especially popular with machine operators. It won’t always be fun, but the hydraulic rod grip feature (standard on the 8040DT) makes rod threading and retrieval easier and simple. Geoprobe Systems® has engineered a machine that translates into sound economics and introduces a new class of subsurface machine to the market. According to Mark Schock, owner of Glacier Drilling in Durham, CT, “If you’re looking for the most serious direct push machine going, this is it!” Mobilization costs, fuel consumption, tooling expenses, manpower requirements, machine maintenance, and site cleanup all impact your company’s bottom line. With the 8040DT, we’ve lessened the impact without sacrificing the machine capabilities and performance. |
