Five MIP logs were pulled into the DI Viewer software using ‘Cross Section’ view. The DI Viewer initially displays Electrical Conductivity; then PID response was added to the secondary axis. By checking the box ‘Synch Graph Scales’, the logs become directly comparable to one another, and relative contaminant concentrations and migration pathways across the site can be observed. Color can be added to the graphs with a right mouse click on a detector signal or conductivity line to edit the data series properties.

DI Viewer software, developed by Geoprobe Systems®, makes the job of field data interpretation fast and easy. Using DI Viewer, operators and their clients, can quickly and effectively determine where additional logs need to be advanced, and duplicate logs can be overlaid to determine repeatability. Cross-sections can be generated to determine contaminant extent and geologic pathways that exist across the site. This feature helps pinpoint locations for confirmation sampling, remediation, or well installation. If the operator has wireless capabilities, either the raw data files or a PDF file can be emailed to the office, or to project managers or regulators offsite to take full advantage of the real-time nature of the equipment. The DI Viewer automatically displays any EC, MIP or HPT log, and allows up to six logs to be printed per page or saved to a PDF file.
